Made from Horse blanket material and fully lined with heavy canvas. A more distinctive cover cannot be had. Ideal for wet weather trips or wherever breath-ability is important. Colors are blue, green, Red-tan, maroon, turquoises, rust or grey. If your gun barrel is 32" please order the 64" rifle cover.

Liver Eating Johnston

This rifle was named after the legendary mountain man Liver Eating Johnston "Crow Killer". Robert Redford portrayed Liver Eating Johnston in the movie Jerimiah Johnson. Liver Eating Johnston was a mountain man of the American West 1824-1900. His native american wife is said to have been killed by members of the Crow tribe, and Johnston set out for revenge across 20 years. The legend says that he would cut out and eat the liver of each man killed. Eating the liver of a victim is a symbolic way of completing a revenge slaying.

Our Frontier horns are nicely done plain antiqued powder horns. The base plug is a simple wooden dome with a brass staple to secure the end of the strap. The tip has raised flats so the strap fits right up behind them. The large horn's average size will be 11-13".
Horn comes with the boot lace strap but you can upgrade to one of the straps listed in horn accessories.
