Description

Soft Supple white cowhide. Holds a flint in place perfectly. For best results use a new leather every time you change flints. Approximate size 1 5/16" x 13/16".  There are 3 flint leathers to a package.  Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

    My first time with a flintlock Didn't even know leather. Needed to cut them down because of small flint Worked very well. Very happy

    too small for large flints

    Too small for use with large flints of one inch or longer. Likely ok for flints 7/8s of an inch.

    They are cut the exact size to get three leather shims for your Flintlock pistol that needs 1/2" flints.

    Works Great but Expensive

    It is high quality leather but quite expensive for a wear item. Especially since my flint/lock combo uses 2-3 pieces. Over $1 per square inch is pricy compared to 8 cents for tooling leather.
