Great sling for an affordable price!

Posted by Nathan on 21st Nov 2016

Was concerned at first with the price that it wasn't going to be of good quality but I was wrong. I love this sling and would recommend it for anyone looking for a sling that doesn't require you to alter or damage your rifle. Fits my Henry Big Boy 357 rifle perfectly.

    Great customer experience and product

Fits my Henry 30-30 perfect and adds a nice frontier look to it! Protects the stock without having the need to drill for swivel. I looked at Bass Pro and Cabelas with nothing found, but the quality and nice leather of this product will have you pleased. Great job October Country!

    Great Rifle Slings

Posted by Rena Smith on 1st Mar 2016

I ordered 2 of the leather slings. Both for Henry .22 rifles. They fit like they were made especially for them. The leather strap is very comfortable on the shoulder. I am very pleased with my purchase. I will highly recommend them to all my friends! Thanks October Country. Great craftsmanship. Great purchase. Love them!!

Exactly what I was looking for

Posted by Roger on 21st Feb 2016

Fits the butt-stock tightly on my .54 cal Renegade with a 31" Round ball barrel. Needed this for handling the rifle while dragging a deer out as it has become increasingly more difficult after my two shoulder surgeries.

    Ok for the price

Posted by Unknown on 14th Feb 2016

Picked this up for my .54 cal Thompson Center Hawken. Overall the sling has a nice look to it and the leather is soft and supple. The lace up cover is a little small for the Hawken but made it work. The most dissapointing is the thickness of the sling strap. It is definitely to thin for a rifle sling. If O.C. would sew two straps together to make one hardy strap befitting a heavy muzzleloader, it would be a much better product even if the price was increased.

    O C M leather universal sling

Posted by Joseph Shuster on 24th Jan 2016

This rifle sling is just the ticket for transporting your rifle while allowing your hands to be free for other tasks ie: climbing tree stands, covering steep or rough ground, dragging out game, etc. The fit is excellent not only on my flintlock but also is the perfect answer for the 100+ year old rifles that I intend to keep original. If you have long guns that do not have sling swivels installed this is the answer you've been looking for.

    A sling of many uses...

Posted by Claude Smith on 4th Jan 2016

This is not the first of these slings I have ordered, and it will not be the last. As with all "One-Size-Fits-All" products, some amount of trimming and rework may be required to achieve optimum fit. I was able to incorporate a cut-down leather recoil pad under the sling ( I have it on a 54 Cal. Hawken- packs a whallop with big game loads) and fit the upper end of the sling to the fore-end in such a manner as not to interfere with the removal /installation of the ramrod. The front strap is thin enough that it does not interfere with normal sight picture. The strap is wide enough to distribute the load, so I expect that all-day carrying will not leave me with a sore shoulder. Looking forward to getting out in the field soon...
