Description
This new style horn is made from a real buffalo horn with the natural color of the black horn. It has an octagon tip with tacks the base plug. The base plug is made of polished black walnut and comes with a silver staple to attach the leather carrying strap. Available in a medium or large size. Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

Very nice horn!
I purchased the large horn with the spirals on the throat. I am very happy with it. This horn is well made and nicely finished. It has the look of a custom made horn. I replaced the stopper with a violin tuning peg and added a hand woven strap to dress it up a little more. This is clearly a horn from American Bison, not the Asian Water Buffalo horn commonly found. This horn goes well with the Lyman Great Plains Rifle and leather shooting pouch I carry. It's a great horn for the price and a good match for a free trapper's outfit.
