Description

Description

Made of oil tan leather and sewn with heavy duty leather for strength and durability. This item is necessary for re-enactment events and great safety for the flintlocks. Lock cover comes with a thong to tie onto the gun. Approximate internal dimensions: Medium 1 1/4" wide by 1 3/4" length / Large 1 1/4" wide by 2 1/4" length. Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

Leather frizzen cover

Well made, but I found that the inside leather surface shed particles that covered the frizzen surface, fell into the pan and even got into the flash hole. Had to keep dusting it off the lock .

Perfect, after a little alteration

This was a little large for my frizzen. I took it apart, trimmed it down and sewed it back together for a snug fit. The leather was thick and good quality. I didn't mind the extra effort and now I have exactly what I needed.
