A premium powder horn for the hunter who demands not only beauty but also rugged functionality. The solid brass spout will pour Fg powder or Pyrodex with ease. A brass plug utilizes a neoprene 'O' ring for a perfect seal, and it won't shake loose. The acorn is solid brass and mounted with a brass bushing inset into the base. The .50 diameter hole in the bushing makes for easy filling with a funnel. Made in the USA by October Country, a manufacturer of muzzleloading supplies.

I couldn't be happier with this horn. Although it is the first one I've ever owned, I saw immediately that it is head and shoulders above others I've seen.
First of all, it is stunning to look at. The base end has an almost perfectly elliptical cross section closed with a walnut cap that fits seamlessly to the horn and is secured with 6 round-head brass tacks. The horn material is beautifully figured in a flame- stitch bands of tan grey, taupe and ivory shades. These transition to a contrasting dark chestnut at the end. The ends are accented by a brass acorn and spout and the entire surface is finished to a silky-smooth satin sheen.
Secondly, it is very functional. It is about a foot long with a slight twist from base to spout which follows the contours of my waist perfectly. The cap has a generous fill hole, and the brass acorn has a very long threaded stem so it won't vibrate loose. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the brass spout has a spring-loaded valve rather than the brass plug shown in the picture. I have a tendency to drop things and was concerned it would quickly become lost forever in the weeds. No worries now. The valve produces a just-right flow rate so I don't overflow my measure.
I strongly recommend this item. Among the best purchases I ever made.

Just received the horn and it’s exactly what I wanted. Very pleased with the quality and time to complete the order. Highly recommend!!

Ordered this to accompany an old English Fowler SXS shotgun and looked for one that was easily able to manage different powder volumes.
When I received this my expectations were more than met - it has a nice pale yellow, almost aged, color and the spout end plug came with cordage to reduce the chance of loss. Acorn end allows for easy filling while providing a touch of class. Overall, while not a completely true "old time" style it looks fantastic and far more practical.

This is a quality horn for both fit and finish. The pour spout is perfect size for 2f powder. Mine holds about a half pound of powder.

I like the brass spout. The horn I received was rather large very little curve to it so it doesn't ride well at my side. Other than that it's well made.

This was my first powder horn from October Country and I am really impressed with it.
Despite being one of their 'cheaper' models it has a finish and quality found on more expensive powder horns.

I was well impressed with the quality of this powder horn. Spout plug is tight; bottom plug fits well. Nice fit between the spout/horn; and between the bottom end/horn. Would recommend it to anyone.

I'm new to muzzleloading and bought a powder horn from Cabelas to start out, only used it for one shoot, It was difficult to fill and dispense, so I returned it. Did some research and discovered October Country. Ordered the OC Hunter Powder Horn and couldn't be happier.
